Send your boy or girl for free to Paul Acheson Summer Sports Weeks this summer!

Dear Parents

This summer Northern Island is again running our successful Buddy programme, bringing Spanish and French children between the ages of 11 and 15 years old to Northern Ireland.

This year, however, we have made some changes and are now offering this programme specifically from July 17 – 30 or from July 31 – August 12.

The programme concept is that non-native English speakers can integrate into local life, live with a host family and attend a local summer camp with the son or daughter of the host family.

This is a highly successful and enjoyable way for local children to make foreign friends and for the international students to practise their English with a boy or girl of a similar age.

The children will stay with local families and attend the Paul Acheson summer camps during the week. Weekends are spent with the local family participating in normal family life.

Northern Island staff will be supervising the stay and available 24/7 throughout the programme

We are now looking for families interested in hosting a student for this time. This would involve providing full board accommodation for the two week period of choice – with a packed lunch on weekdays or pocket money for the famous barbecue which is offered daily at camp.

In return, we offer a place – free of charge – for your own child to attend the summer camp with your international student. (1)
